Emergent markets, sustainable develompent and ICT

Hi everybody! Let's continue talking about how ict can support economy in order to make it more sustainable. Here we have a great talk of Steve Davis at TEDxBrooklyn in which he thinks about our "efficience" model. He points out that many times, processes that we consider unefficient or undeveloped are more concious about environment, social rights, community...

In many informal economies sinergies are stablished between bussiness: they act more as ecosystems than "normal" bussiness do, they generate no waste, they reuse and recycle, they share inputs...so, may it be possible that we need to rething our whole systems and learn something from models on which we look down?
